About This Site

Court Records is an independent public-interest website that indexes and republishes case information from official municipal court public access portals in Arizona. Our goal is simple: make local court records more accessible, searchable, and understandable to the people who live in these communities.

Our Data

Where the data comes from

All case information on this site originates from official court public access portals — the same systems the courts themselves make available to any member of the public, without requiring a login or any special access. We currently index records from Gilbert Municipal Court and will expand to additional jurisdictions over time.

We do not obtain, store, or publish any information that is not already publicly available through the courts' own websites. We collect names, case numbers, charge descriptions, court dates, assigned personnel, and warrant status — exactly the fields displayed to any visitor to those portals.

Accuracy

Data freshness and accuracy

Court records change frequently. Cases are disposed, charges are amended, warrants are served or recalled, and hearing dates shift. This site is updated regularly but will never be a real-time mirror of the courts' own systems. For the most current, authoritative information on any case, always consult the official court portal directly or contact the court.

This site is not a substitute for legal advice

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. If you have questions about a specific case — whether your own or someone else's — consult a licensed attorney or contact the court directly.

Presumption of Innocence

A note on guilt and innocence

Court records document the process of the justice system — not its outcomes. A person appearing in court records has been charged, not convicted. The American legal system is built on the presumption of innocence: every person accused of a crime is legally innocent until a court determines otherwise through due process.

We include a reminder of this principle on every case page and in our footer because we believe it is essential context for anyone reading these records. If you are viewing a record about yourself or someone you know, please keep this in mind.

Record Removal

Record removal requests

Because this site republishes public court records, we generally cannot remove individual entries while the underlying case remains in the court's own public database. However, if a case has been expunged or sealed by court order, or if you believe a record appears here in error, please contact us. We will review every request and act promptly where removal is warranted.

Note that expungement or sealing must first be granted by the court — we follow the court's lead. Once a record is removed from the official portal, we will remove it from this site as well.
